For groundwater, USGS and NHDES jointly monitor observation wells in the Merrimack Valley aquifer and the Suncook River aquifer — two of the state's most important stratified drift formations. Current data for all of these sites is available in near-real-time on the USGS WaterWatch website, and NHDES compiles this data into its weekly drought monitoring updates, which are publicly accessible on the NHDES website throughout the summer season.
