What we collect

The only personal data we collect is the email address you provide when you sign up for alerts, plus the city you chose to be alerted about. We do not collect names, phone numbers, billing details, or location data.

What we don't do

• We do not sell or rent your email address.
• We do not share your data with advertisers or third parties.
• We do not run third-party tracking scripts (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no advertising trackers).
• We do not require accounts, passwords, or sign-ins.

Aggregate analytics

We log basic page-view information — the path requested, an HTTP referrer header if present, the user-agent string, and the country inferred from the request — to understand which pages get used. These records are not linked to email addresses and are stored only in aggregate form.

Email alerts

When you sign up, we store your email address and the city you selected so we can email you when the rules in that city change. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also email us directly at contact@water-restrictions.com to be removed from the list.

Cookies

We don't set tracking cookies. The site uses browser localStorage to remember when you've signed up for a city's alerts so we don't show you the form again on that page. That data never leaves your browser.

Data retention and deletion

You can request deletion of your email address and all associated alert preferences at any time by emailing contact@water-restrictions.com. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.
