API use

Our public JSON API is free to use within the published rate limits. For commercial use — smart-irrigation products, property-management software, HOA tools, or any application embedding our data into a paid service — please contact us first at contact@water-restrictions.com. Bulk scraping that bypasses the API is not permitted.

Not legal advice

The content on this site is informational. It is not legal advice and should not be treated as the official rule of record. Always verify the watering rules in force at your address with the authority listed on the city page (the city utility, regional water management district, or state water agency). When the authoritative source disagrees with this site, the authoritative source wins.

No affiliation with government agencies

Water Restrictions is a private project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any city, county, state, or federal water agency. The names of utilities and agencies are used only to identify the source of each restriction.

The data on this site is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make a good-faith effort to keep records current, but we cannot guarantee that every record reflects the most recent declaration in your city at the moment you read it.
